11/28/20038 hours: I finished dimpling the elevator skin and other parts, riveted a small part of the skeleton together, then built the rest of it up inside the skin. Then the tricky problem of clamping the elvator horn in there so that it can be drilled (no holes at all in the spar and rib, so nothing to cleco it to) This is the easy side after I finished...The hard side is along the spar, inside the skin leading edge. Got to use my right-angle drill attachment for the first time. Match-drilling the rest of the elevator. I was doing the assembly of the counterbalance and other parts when I (surprise surprise) couldn't get two holes to line up. After hours of staring at it and trying to adjust it every which way, I compared the holes to the part for the OTHER elevator...sure enough, they are misdrilled a bit. You can hardly see it in this picture, the left spar's holes are .02" too high.
